Abby is an experienced psychologist with a Masters in Guidance and counselling from James Cook University in Townsville.
Abby moved to the Sunshine Coast to join E&A after working in a wide variety of settings including complex forensic and public mental health sectors.
Abby has a passion for supporting adolescents and adults with complex presentations including eating disorders, trauma, dissociation and severe anxiety.
Abby’s primary interest area is working with adults with trauma and dissociation and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Abby also is interested and experienced in working with children (12 years and older), and adults with a range of eating problems from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and other specified feeding and eating disorder.
She holds the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential and is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Enhanced (CBTe), Family Based Therapy (FBT - for teens and children with ED) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR).
Abby is also skilled in providing other types of therapies for all mental health related concerns you may be experiencing including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
