Dr Lize Andrews completed her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland. Lize has worked as a clinical psychologist for over 10 years across both the public and private sector. She has developed expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health difficulties in children, adolescents, adults and families.
Lize has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety disorders throughout the lifespan (including social anxiety, specific phobias, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and trauma), Autism Spectrum Disorders, eating disorders, parenting and relationship education.
Depending on the individual goals and needs of each client, Lize utilises a range of evidence based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.

Lize is recognised as a Clinical Psychologists by Medicare Australia and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is a professional member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and belongs to the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists. In addition, Lize is a registered an accredited Triple P – Positive Parenting Program provider.
Lize has perviously worked at Child and Youth Mental Health Service, as well as Bravehearts, where she provided assessment and treatment to children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health difficulties, and children and adult survivors of child sexual assault. She has had a position counselling disadvantaged job seekers, and equipping them to reach their full potential and also gained experience working in the Parenting and Family Support Centre at the University of Queensland, where she provided individual support and co-facilitated Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) groups aimed at providing education to enhance family relationships and equipping parents with positive parenting skills. She has a background working in the disability support sector and has facilitated various group-based interventions for children and adolescents in clinical and school settings.
Lize is a STAP (Supervisor Training and Accreditation Program) accredited supervisor, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia.
