Julie is passionate about working collaboratively with clients in order to meet their therapy goals and create more fulfilling lives. She works with children and adolescents as well as adults in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, chronic pain, grief and loss, sleep issues and stress management.
Julie works from both cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment (ACT) frameworks as well as Mentalisation Based Therapy and has a strong commitment to evidence-based practice. She also works from an attachment-based framework with parents to help parents support their children through difficulties.
Julie is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychologists Association (ACPA) and a STAP (Supervisor Training and Accreditation Program) accredited supervisor, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia.
