Kate is a warm and genuine therapist with over seven years’ experience working in private practice and educational settings. Working predominantly with adolescents and adults, Kate values creating a strong connection and therapeutic alliance, providing a safe place for clients to feel understood, supported and empowered.
Kate adopts a client-centred approach, understanding each client's unique situation and providing evidence-based treatments to support their goals.
Kate’s Areas of Interest Include:
· Depression and anxiety disorders (inc. Generalised Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic).
· Stress management and burnout prevention.
· Interpersonal and relationship difficulties.
· Coping with life transitions (e.g., parenthood, divorce, relocation, retirement).
· Bulimia, binge eating and body image concerns.
· Substance use problems.
· Supporting neurodiverse populations (e.g., ADHD and ASD).
· Emotional regulation.
Kate provides a range of evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and attachment-based frameworks. She works collaboratively with clients to determine the best approach for their needs both in-clinic and online via telehealth.
Kate has recently completed her Master of Clinical Psychology (Advanced Entry) program and is now a clinical registrar on her way to becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
