Peter is a Registered Psychologist at the E&A Birtinya clinic who supports adults with a wide variety of presentations including depression and anxiety, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, feelings of burdensomeness or hopelessness, suicidal ideation, or life transitions and challenges.

Peter is highly focused on the therapeutic relationship with his clients. He uses a calm and relaxed manner, positive communication skills, empathy and understanding, as well as a little appropriate humour during therapy sessions.

In addition to focusing on the therapeutic relationship, Peter is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based strategies and adjusting his treatment modality depending on the needs of the client. He often utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Positive Psychology, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Supportive Psychotherapy.

Peter enjoys being outdoors as much as possible (if not at work he can probably be found at the beach, on a mountain, in a forest, running or riding somewhere). He is also an expert power-napper.

Peter is a registered member of The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
